Wet Centre

It pretty much rained all day in Alice Springs today. I hired a car to drive into the McDonnell ranges and take some pictures, but the mountains looked less like the McDonnell ranges than the Cotswolds on a wet weekend in April. Also there were a couple of rivers that had started running across the road so I didn't stay out long and didn't take any pictures. The Todd river running through Alice Springs has got some water in it - although not much. If it carries on like this it could ruin the Henley-on-Todd regatta. The regatta consists of men in boats with the bottoms cut out running along the dry, sandy bed of the Todd River...
